Know the warning signs Seek urgent medical care for severe or worsening pain, fainting, signs of shock, very heavy bleeding, or other symptoms your healthcare provider identifies as emergencies. If you believe you may have an ectopic pregnancy, urgent evaluation is important. If you soak two thick pads an hour for two consecutive hours, or you are crashing, call 911.
