Before a center or an ER

What you can know before you walk into a center or an ER.

A website cannot diagnose you. These are the questions chat or the form will still want answered, and the emergencies you should not sit on.

Dating the pregnancy

Last period is a guess. An ultrasound is how clinicians check whether the pregnancy is in the uterus, whether there is a heartbeat, and how far along you are. Pregnancy centers in the directory often provide that without a bill. They do not perform or refer for abortion.

Ectopic pregnancy is an emergency

One-sided pain, shoulder pain, fainting, or bleeding with dizziness can be an ectopic pregnancy. That is 911, not a wait-for-morning problem. Alabama’s abortion ban does not ask you to die of a ruptured tube.

Bleeding after pills

Heavy bleeding after mifepristone or misoprostol can be life-threatening. Two thick pads per hour for two consecutive hours = ER. Crashing before the second hour, do not wait.

If a pill is already in, say which one and approximately when in chat or on the form. This is not a dose chart. First pill only, and you want the pregnancy to continue: Changed your mind after the first pill?. Already took misoprostol: If you are bleeding.
